    What’s in Your Toothpaste?

The job of looking after your health today is quite a challenge. Even I don’t always get it right.

I used to use a popular, major brand of toothpaste. It advertises “12-hour germ-fighting protection.” Until, that is, I discovered triclosan was in it.

You may remember triclosan. It was in the hand sanitizer that even my staff was using at the office until I called them out on it and had them replace it with a natural alternative. I just wrote to you about this on Wednesday.

Now, I’m just as concerned as you about having healthy teeth and gums. But there’s no way I want triclosan to be part of the solution. It’s a pesticide…

“I Get Noticed Everywhere I Go”

Deep in the jungles of West Africa, there are places where obesity is completely unknown.

    The natives don’t get fat.

A professor doing population studies discovered this curious fact. After watching this group and comparing them to others, he found something unique about their diet:

The locals use a paste derived from the seed of a “bush mango” to thicken their soups.

This professor, an expert in nutritional biochemistry at the university in nearby Cameroon, created an extract of this seed and ran his own tests.

After 10 weeks, the people taking this extract dropped an average of 28 pounds and shed 6 inches around their waist…

I Like to Get My Hands Dirty

Last month I was in Africa, and I ate every fresh, native fruit straight from the vendors in the market.

My buddies were very selective about what they would eat. They washed everything. They used hand sanitizers and begged me to use them, too. And they wouldn’t touch the street-side food.

I ate everything I could find. And I’m the only one who didn’t get sick.

That’s because I travel a lot. I challenge myself, and my immune system is used to it.

    But here’s the real point…

Doctor STILL Hounding You About Cholesterol?

Doctor STILL Hounding You About Cholesterol?

Walk into any doctor’s office with a cholesterol level over 300, and they’ll wheel you out on a stretcher, shove you in an ambulance, and rush you to the hospital.

But, let me tell you something about cholesterol: As long as your HDL is high enough, you’re at little to no risk of heart disease.

Even if your total cholesterol is 305…

Turn Your “Digestion Gene” Back On

Did you know that you could be eating all the right nutrients but not absorbing them?

In order to build muscle, strengthen your immune system, and get the energy you need throughout the day, the nutrients you eat have to get absorbed in your digestive tract. And that requires digestive enzymes.

There’s the rub. Because there’s something in our modern diet that may be stopping you from producing the digestive enzymes you need.

    Let me explain…

    His Blood Levels Quadrupled

    Have you heard this yet?

There’s a “reduced” form of CoQ10 that your bloodstream can absorb much more easily. This is great news for your heart.

    It’s known as ubiquinol.

If you’re taking the old form of CoQ10, you may not be getting the support your heart needs. And you may be missing out on the energy, vitality, and optimism my patients already enjoy.

    Let me explain…

    Mutant Food Fight

Did you hear the one about the mutant potato that almost took over Europe?

The United Kingdom (UK) had this big idea to create a new kind of potato. It would be resistant to all insects. It would grow so well, it would feed all of Europe.

The plans were to genetically modify the DNA of the potato so it would release a lectin. A lectin is a natural insecticide found in foods like beans, seeds, and grains.

Turns out, the potato caused serious organ damage when it was fed to animals…

    FDA Targets Harvard Doctor

The assault by the FDA on your supplements has turned into an all out war.

In a letter both the FDA and FTC, Dr. Andrew Weil was threatened with criminal prosecution.

I’m not making this stuff up. Look at what the letter actually said:

“If your firm fails to take corrective action immediately, FDA may take enforcement action, such as seizure or injunction for violations of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act without further notice.”

What did Dr. Weil do to risk “possible criminal prosecution for violations of the FFDC Act”?…

Good Guys, Bad Guys, and Your Gut

Chances are, if you go to a doctor with these symptoms, they’ll never figure out the problem is in your gut.

They run into the dozens: chronic fatigue, memory loss, bloating, heartburn, prostate problems, swollen or stiff joints, muscle pain, urinary tract infections – even mental and emotional problems like fear, anger, anxiety, and depression.

How can all of these things go undiagnosed?

    It’s a lack of balance…

    Is PACE Becoming Classified Information?

    Is PACE Becoming Classified Information?

Did you ever hear about the time I went to an Air Force Base?

I can’t tell you which one. The Air Force Colonel I met with, let’s call him “KL,” asked me not to make this public.

You see, KL had called me one day and said he was a fan of PACE. He had read my book, does PACE himself, and uses it to train Air Force staff, especially those returning to active duty.

KL had also set up PACE classes for women who have just had babies and the wives of servicemen on the base.

Why is the Air Force interested in PACE?

Are Red Beans the New “Apple a Day”?

If you were living in a primitive environment, you wouldn’t have to worry too much about free radical damage from stress.

You’d already have a natural defense system already in place. In primitive cultures like the ones I’ve seen in Peru, Brazil, and Africa, the native diet contains thousands of antioxidants to fight free radicals.

In our westernized world, antioxidants are still the best way to guard against disease.

Antioxidants are vitamins, minerals, and enzymes that neutralize free radicals. Any time you increase your intake of antioxidants, you’re saving your healthy cells from damage.

To get you started, here is a list of the some of the best sources of antioxidants:

Do We Have to Throw Away Our Fishing Poles?

Do We Have to Throw Away Our Fishing Poles?

I love to fish. Even though, when I take my son Dylan fishing, he catches fish like crazy, and I never seem to catch a thing. But it doesn’t matter. Fishing puts us in a different world. As the Babylonian proverb says, “The gods do not deduct from man’s allotted span the hours spent fishing.”

So… How sad it was for me to discover that we can’t eat the fish caught in most streams anymore.

I’ve always believed it’s better to eat wild cod, wild salmon, and bass we catch in freshwater streams, because it’s far healthier than farm-raised fish. But there’s some disturbing news I need to share with you. Wild-caught fish is not the clear-cut choice it used to be…

    Converted Die-Hard Vegetarian

More and more die-hard vegetarians are becoming meat eaters. Why the change of heart? It’s simple: They’re plumb tired of being sick and tired.

“For 14 years I felt sick, nauseated, and bloated,” says Lierre Keith. She’s the author of The Vegetarian Myth, one of the most important books on this subject. “Anything I ate became a bowling ball lodged in my stomach.”

Her stomach was distended because her digestion was damaged from her vegetarian diet. To fix it, she had to return to eating meat…

You should meet my friend and colleague, Dr. Bill. He’s in his mid 50s but has the physical energy of someone in their 20s, maybe younger.

    I believe he’s aging backwards.

    How does he do it?

Are You Eating a Gasoline Additive?

    I don’t mind telling you… I hate soy. I loathe it.

Soy sucks nutrients right out of your bloodstream. It can turn a man into a woman. Soy is one of the worst crops for the environment. It destroys the soil and wrecks our ecosystem.

And now, here’s another reason to hate it even more.

Natural-food manufacturers are using a toxic chemical called hexane to process the soy in their products.1

This is the same substance that makes gasoline explode. It’s the stuff in glue that gets you high. Hexane fumes go straight to your brain and cause damage almost immediately.

Some of these foods are probably in your kitchen cupboard right now. And you probably thought they were good for you because they say “Natural” on the label.

    Here’s how it’s happening…

You notice heads turning as you go by.

    You smile to yourself.

“Hmm… looks like it’s gonna be a good summer.”

You can drop inches your waist by adding one, simple thing to your diet and exercise plan.
