Dr. Sears currently writes and publishes the monthly e-Newsletter, Health Confidential, and daily email broadcast, Doctor’s House Call, and contributes to a host of other publications in the field. He has appeared on over 50 national radio programs, ABC News, CNN, and ESPN.
Since 1999, Dr. Sears has published 14 books and reports on health and wellness with a readership of millions spread over 163 countries.
His first publication, The 21st Century Men’s Guide to Prostate Health, gave men real answers for reducing their risk for common prostate problems long before the problem’s exposure with mainstream medicine and the media. Dr. Sears followed that up in 2000 by publishing The T-Factor, King of Hormones, which allowed men to take a serious look at virility and discover ways to naturally boost their testosterone.
In his third book, The Doctor’s Heart Cure, Dr. Sears revealed for the first time his entire, proven program for successfully reversing heart disease and building a stronger heart. The book has since been published in nine languages and remains a bestseller six years after its release.
In 2005, Dr. Sears’ 12 Secrets to Virility shed light on the huge environmental and nutritional problems with virility in our modern world. It gave men a step-by-step guide for maintaining health, strength, and masculinity as they age, and became a bestseller during its first month of release.
His fifth book, P.A.C.E.: Rediscover Your Native Fitness, sparked a revolution in the fitness world. An effective alternative to traditional cardio, PACE is practiced worldwide, delivering reliable fat loss and prevention against heart attack and stroke.
Other releases include Your Best Health Under the Sun, which exposes one of the biggest myths of our time… the misconception that the sun is your enemy. It shows you that sun exposure produces one of the most potent health-boosting substances in your body.
And in High Speed Fat Loss in 7 Easy Steps, Dr. Sears reveals his easy-to-understand plan of action for training your body to burn fat quickly and efficiently, while at the same time increasing lean muscle.
His latest fitness book, P.A.C.E.: The 12-Minute Fitness Revolution, overturns accepted dogma and reveals a more effective, more exhilarating path to a strong heart, robust lungs, and a naturally lean and more energetic body.
Meet Tara Smith, ARNP, NP-C
Tara Smith, ARNP, NP-C, earned her Master’s degree from the University of Florida and became board certified as a family nurse practitioner in 2005.
With a concentration on aesthetics, teaching and family practice, Tara worked with plastic surgeons in a medical spa, taught nursing students and is skilled in all aspects of skin care, including laser resurfacing, skin tightening and therapy for patients with moderate to severe skin damage.
In spite of the recognition that followed and the widespread appreciation from her patients Tara continued her research and education into alternative medicine, especially anti-aging.
Coming from a medical family Tara came face to face with the failings of the medical establishment from an early age. Frustrated by the repetition and narrow scope of her daily practice she started looking for new challenges and new frontiers.
“It was fulfilling to bring relief and satisfaction to my patients, but I knew my calling went deeper than the aesthetics of looking young. I want my patients to feel young on the inside too. My ultimate goal is the realization of total health through diet, prevention and nutritional supplementation… Lasting health starts and ends at the cellular level. You can’t get there with drugs and conventional wisdom.”
While at the University of Florida, Tara wrote her Master’s thesis on hormone therapy for sexual dysfunction in menopause and the use of phytoestrogens for menopause symptoms.
“I’ve always been drawn to women’s health issues, even as a child. I knew intuitively women have different physiological needs and symptoms and don’t always respond to conventional treatments. That lack of perspective puts women at risk, especially in terms of heart attack, cancer and the issues that come with menopause.”
As a nurse practitioner Tara has advanced training in diagnosing and treating illness. That skill along with her training in anti-aging made her a perfect fit at the Center for Health and Wellness in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
Under the mentorship of Dr. Al Sears, Tara’s practice flourishes. From her start in December of 2008, Tara has established a thriving practice providing an all-encompassing individualized care for her patients.
Aside from seeing patients, Tara is conducting research trials into novel ways of naturally boosting human growth hormone (HGH) and starting work on her first book, on anti-aging for women.
