2) Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Search providers like Google or Bing are constantly scanning the internet to find information their searchers request. They look through your site for content and "keywords". Keywords are the terms that people search on … the more of those that you contain in your content, search engines will send people to your site.
The first step in getting traffic is to submit your site to the major search engines including Google and Bing (which are free) and provide details about your site. To submit your site to Bing, click here. You will enter your URL, and Bing will add your site. For Google, you need to have a Gmail email account. If you don't have one, click here to set it up, it's free. Once you have a Gmail account, sign in and submit your site here.
That’s the best way to make sure search engines find your site quicker and include it in the search results.
If you haven’t yet visited the Links/Tools section of your Affiliate Center, you should do so right away. You'll find the link at the top of the page when you log in. Here's the one on Primal Force, but the links will be the same for all companies.
You’ll find banners, ads, emails, text links, etc. – all designed for maximum appeal.
Here are links to a list of media offered by each company:
A quick tutorial on what types of promotional materials are available, and what the different terms mean –
Banners: These come in a host of sizes depending on how you want to use them. Here's an example of a banner on Pure Radiance:
They’re set up to link to a landing page. There’s quite a lot of different sizes/lengths for you to choose from, but if there’s something special that you need, just let us know and we will have it created for you.
If you use a banner on your web site or blog, your customers can shop and you’ll receive credit for each order that they place. When you copy the banner code, it inserts your affiliate info and the page it links to.
Here's how to insert a banner into your site.
Emails/Ads: All of the promos or ads you can use to sell the products. They’re proven to work – we provide you with only the most effective ads and promos!
Text Links: If you have an email list, you can send a note to your list or have a text ad on your web site or blog. These are especially effective if you’ve already built loyalty with your readers...
If you want to use a text link, email or ad, you need to copy the HTML coding exactly as it shows up in your account, just like the banner example above. This assures that that your affiliate information is carried forward for any orders that are processed.
When you received your welcome email, you will have received a link to the catalog. For an example, your catalog link might look something like this (and the affiliate sees that the catalog link has their affiliate ID at the end):
But when this affiliate looks at materials in the Links & Tools, the link to the Omega Rejuvenol page looks like this
We've gotten some questions about this. Affiliates are wondering why the number at the end doesn't match their affiliate ID. In the second case, the number at the end does not refer to the affiliate ID.
The link has several items wrapped up inside of it, and the browser will get this information:
We have plenty of media in Links and Tools, but sometimes, you need something custom. For instance, an affiliate may want to link to a specific page. Here's how to do that.
Here's a link to use, just select and copy:
Insert your information in the areas as marked:
The number after af= is your affiliate number, which will give you credits for sales. The information after u= is the page you are sending the user to.
When you log in to your account, you will see the Reports Link at the top of the page. Please be sure to test all yor links to make sure they are set up correctly and are tracking. You can check the tracking in the Reports section when you log in, but please note, the reporting takes 24 hours to show.
Your affiliate links put a cookie (small bit of code) in your customer's browser with your affiliate ID. Then the code attaches to the sale, and you get credit for the commission. You can log into your account, go to the reports link and see your activity, but there's a 24 hour lag in the reporting.
We have the highest commissions in the industry, net 25%, (less shipping and handling) on each new sale. Plus get 10% each time a recurring order bills. Commissions are paid monthly for the previous month. Your commissions must reach at least $100, and a check will be cut.
You can receive commissions for other affiliates’ sales. We call these Tier 2 commissions.
There are 2 ways to receive Tier 2 commissions. If you know someone who has a website or blog, you can send them your catalog link and ask them to go to the affiliate page and sign up. Once they are signed up under your affiliate ID and they make sales, you will receive 10% for every sale they make.
If someone visits your website and then signs up as an affiliate you would qualify for Tier 2 commissions every time they make a sale.
